Fortune Soap
Covid reflection on hygiene and ritual.
Soap reimagined as a lucky charm.

Developed within Bezalel’s Incubator for Experimental Design
Remember COVID?
Fortune Soap reimagines soap not as hygiene, but as a suspended talisman - a hanging object that turns a daily act into ritual. Emerging from the early days of COVID, it reflects on how the fear of touch reshaped our gestures of care and protection. The soaps hang freely, avoiding contact with surfaces, yet inviting reflection on the tension between purity and superstition. Each piece carries both function and symbolism, blurring the line between design, belief, and routine.
